What should not be lost in all of this, and what the media should pick up on is the position that George Bush, Dick Cheney and their followers have put us in with the war in Iraq specifically as well as Afghanistan to a lesser degree.  We put Saddam in the ground alright, though now Cheney admitted recently what we already knew which was that he was simply one of many dictators who had no link to 9-11.  But the bottom like is that Kim Jong Il knows full and well that our military as great as it’s been, is tremendously overextended.  Our “war on terror” does not have a definite end, and we are caught up trying to stay alive in the desert sands of underdeveloped third world nations. 
 
With all of that said to borrow an old school phrase, North Korea is smelling their piss and showing their ass daring anyone to say anything to them.
As it stands these brigdge to nowhere wars have put us in a vulnerable position.   Make no mistake about it.  North Korea is for real. 
 
And while Americans are caught up in the rhetoric of a Rush Limbaugh and these racial politics, the real dangers are lurking half a world away in full time speed.
Keep on defending yourself and your legacy Dick. 
 
Hannity, Dobbs, keep on attacking the current president over stupid stuff.  The future for our children and grandchildren looks great!

Obama Presidential, Bin Laden Shook!

 Clearly this visit by President Barack Obama to Egypt has shaken Osama Bin Laden.  While The President has been offering some great dialogue within his speeches about the relationships between Muslims and non Muslim nations, Bin Laden felt the need to make a tape trying to throw salt on the game.  Of all the tapes Bin Laden released in the past, I would say they were offensive messages meant to rile up his followers.  This one is obviously a defensive message as
The President has reached out to start a new process of peaceful living between Muslims and Jews.

I’ll tell you what too… these cats sure know how to set things out royally.  I look forward to visiting these types of places myself.  There are some majestic scenery’s indoors and out.  So far the feelings towards Obama’s speech has been positive in that he is speaking and not lecturing as most have.  He is holding all side accountable including Israel as well as the Palestinians.

Wow!  Is this guy a genius or what? Talk about stating the obvious.  Uhhh, Dick, and I do mean dick… we have known this since the beginning.   And so did you.  Please go back to your cave and stop trying save your legacy.  You got over and got thousands of good men and women killed.  You made Hiliburton even richer than it already was.  Your legacy is sealed and this double-talk will not undue your crimes against humanity nor the horrible position you placed our troops and nation in.

Dumb Ass Questions Show USA Has Long Way To Go

It’s so ridiculous to me that Judge Sotomayor’s nomination to the Supreme Court is being questioned all over the country by white men who wonder if her ethnicity has anything to do with her nomination.  It’s pretty clear that Pat Buchanan thinks so for instance. 

Let me help ya’ll out.  Hell yes her ethnicity was a factor in her being selected.  What stupid white men don’t understand however, and never acknowledge is that:

1) Minorities are not unqualified for jobs just because they are minorities.

2) There are plenty, and I mean PLENTY of white men who get jobs who are not qualified.  And yet this is never questioned.  It’s ASSumed that they are.  For instance,you will never hear Pat Buchanan or Newt Gingrich say, “Hmm, I wonder if Stevens was nominated because he’s yet another white man picked by Bush.  I wonder if he is qualified or just advantaged because of his skin and who he knows?”

Nope you won’t hear that.  And yet white men have dominated the Supreme Court since it’s existance and continue to.  I dare to say they will continue to.  I am sick of these blatant hypocrites who bitterly question the intelligence and qualifications of every minority who runs for office or is selected to fill a position!   The highest court in the land should reflect a piece of every facet of society which includes gender, race, and socio-economic class.  That will assure the balance we need as a nation. 

You want to get rid of Affirmative Action?  Fine by me!  Just rid the nation of White priviledge first!

Please, Someone Tell Dick Cheney to STFU!

Since being in office he’s done all but taken us back towards a total dictatorship as well as fattened up his stock in Haliburton by giving them practically every no bid governmental contract available. 

Now he’s out the big house and can’t seem to stop hating on Obama because he is not the tyrannical torturing rights snatching jerk that he is.  Cheney is a has been.  Now he is just a bitter old man about to give himself another heart attack. 

Memo to Dick: We had security issues before you came along and we will have them after you leave.  No American thinks we are completely safe from anything.  So quit with the Nostradomus act predicting disaster till something actually happens.  9-11 happened on YOUR watch!  So deal with it!  Oh yea that’s right, not only did you deal with it, you profited from it too.  So spare me the dumb talk.  Go hunt or something and shoot someone else “by mistake.” But please stay off of my TV saying the sky is going to fall!  You are as relevant as Octomom!

Charlie Bubba on AIG and Imus

It was a slow Monday evening.  No college basketball on television.  The World Baseball Classic is totally irrelevant no matter what Tommy Lasorda says about it being something we should care about.  So what was I to do?  Been a while since I’ve been over on the East Side.  So I head to one of my favorite watering holes for some special Crown.  The bartender called and told me that somehow he got a bottle of the Cask No 16 that Hines Ward was giving away to his teammates after the SuperBowl.  I was down for that!

No sooner than I walk in the door… I see my main man Charlie Bubba ghetto philosopher and street scholar of the hood.  It had been a while since I’d seen Charlie.  Or (Cholly) as we call him.  I thought to myself, “Now I know the evening will be exciting.  We can talk about the NCAA tournament.  Manny Ramirez or something.  But no politics cause I was tired of the news as it is.”  I tried to head him off at the pass when he laid eyes on me.

Me: Cholly whats up baby!  Who you got going to the Final 4?  Who’s going to take it all!

Cholly: Fuck that nigga!  That shit ain’t coming on till Thursday.  It’s MONDAY fool!  Hell who gone be president in 2012?  Who gone be Bristol Palin’s next baby-daddy.  Hell I don’t know.  Gotta wait till it get here.  Shit.

Me: Dang Cholly why you all “sensitive” today? 

Cholly: Man these fools tried to take my crib – 4Close on a nigga.  While these fuckers at AIG, (Always Is Gangsta) taking MY tax dollars for god-damn bonuses and shit?

Why did I ask?  He got me.

Cholly: Come on C!  How many times these white boys, these anti-big government, anti-government helping out anybody, anti-welfare shit on the little man leaches keep coming back to the Amerikkkan people begging for hand-outs?  I hope Bama (Obama) knows what he’s doing.  Cause last time he talked about how it wasn’t about being pissed at them, but about saving the economy even though they pissed over the last stash they got.  Now they just made an ass out of him as far as I’m concerned.  Cause the same shit keeps happening over and over again. Give them assholes money, and they put it in their pockets.  Then I hear this broad talking on TV about how they were “contractually obligated” to give these bonuses.  What?  Like they were contractually obligated to give them money for the hoes they paid for at the spa a few months back?  Right?  That’s some bullshit!  First of all, who is giving out the bonuses anyway?  The same mother fuckers who asked for the money?  The same folks who are on the board deciding that they were “contractually obligated” to pay themselves all that loot?  The same jokers who’s decisions ran the company down in the first place?  What kinda shit is that?

Cholly was really angry.  I tried to get a word in but he kept going.

Cholly: And what if somebody with some balls at the top decided that these bonuses were not going to be given out.  If the others tried to sue, what fuckin judge is going to side with them.  I know they don’t write up contracts that say, ‘Even if you run the company into the ground and we are strapped for cash, we’ll still give you millions for the trouble you put us in.’  I just don’t see that happening.  And hell if they didn’t get multiple bailouts, where the fuck would they have gotten the money?  I’m telling you man!  They say they don’t want no socialist government and shit, but they can’t be trusted to run these businesses on their own obviously!  And why is Bama nem’ keep giving them the money with no fuckin oversite?  You keep trusting the same robbers and thieves to do the right thing?  That just goes to show you.  White folks broke the mode on crime I don’t care what they say?

Me: Well man you have said a mouthful Cholly.  Care for some of this No. 16 to take the edge off?

After a couple glasses of the No. 16, I was good to go but Cholly was just getting started.  This was my time to exit cause he was already on a mission as it is.

Me: Cholly man I’m sorry about the house?  What are you gonna do about it?

Cholly: Man I don’t know.  But Cholly Bubba always work thangs out.   Maybe I can catch one of them AIG niggas at the ATM machine.

I gave Cholly some dap and bid bye to he and the rest of the patrons.  Always having to have the last word though…

Can’t Truss It!

You know our president says that things are going to be different in that government will be more transparent than in recent years.  And I am not saying this situation is on him cause he has other things to deal with. 

But the fact that Karl Rove and Harriet Miers are going to be questioned under oath regarding the attorney firings of the Bush administration in secret is appalling to me. 

I am so tired of people being able to break the law, lie to congress or whatever and get off.  What purpose does it serve to question these people under oath in private?  This is a major public issue at hand.  I can safely say as well that no one is going to be called out.  No one is going to be charged with anything or subject to any punishment criminally or civilly.  The best one can hope for is a leak which would already be stating the obvious.  Not to mention if they lie under oath as they have before, there are no reporters who are able to fact find and double check ala Alex Rodriguez’s doping press conference. 

They say you can’t lie to congress or the feds and get away with it.  The truth is that only some can’t lie to either of these.   For instance Karl Rove, Roger Clemens, and Roland Burris can, but Marion Jones and Martha Stewart can’t. 

If nothing is going to be done about crimes or other illegalities,  I say just leave it alone.

Black Folks That Can’t Get It Together Part 1

This guy is so confused… almost as confused as the Republican Party.  Steele is confused in that he doesn’t get that he is a tool for the party.  He is not to express an honest opinion or come up with any innovative ideas.  Most of the time he stuck to the party line; especially during the presidential election.  He attacked President to be Obama at every opportunity afforded him.  He was utterly ridiculous on the Bill Mahr show.  Which again is fitting of what they want from him.  This is why he was granted a chance to be GOP figure head.  They trusted him to keep their ideas and hero’s in tact… coupled with the black face for the “Obama” effect.  The party wants to have a “look”of diversity.  But that is only to draw more black votes.  But the flip side of it is that they are so hardened from the past 16 years of momentum from Clinton hating and Bush loving years that they can’t shake themselves hard enough to modify any of the hard core ideologies.

One only needs to see how some of these governors are refusing the 2% portion of the stimulus package that deal with extending unemployment benefits.  They are not enraged at CEOs taking billions, but damn those poor Americans who are losing jobs can’t get a cent extra of unemployment if they can’t get a job quick enough. 

But I digress.  Steele learned once again that he had to get back into his place as he incurred the wrath of the real head of the Republican Party Rush Limbaugh.  Limbaugh, the racist evangelical hate mongering drug abusing obese last bastion of white supremacy talking radio head has been making noise most notably post election.  He spoke at a venue over the weekend, and when Steele was questioned by D.L. Hugely about Limbaugh, said in so many words that Rush is an “entertainer” and also that his anti-Obama rhetoric was “incendiary” and “ugly.”   Some of us raised an eyebrow by these sentiments.  “Go ahead, “Man of Steele” break it down.”   But that was short lived.

After Limbaugh let Steele know that that the house he lives in with the republican party is not his, and that he could easily be put back into the fields Steele backed up quicker than Billy Graham resigned as Presidential Pastor after the election and actually called Rush to apologize for offending massa.  This was his public statement:   

“My intent was not to go after Rush — I have enormous respect for Rush Limbaugh.  I went back at that tape and I realized words that I said weren’t what I was thinking.  It was one of those things where I thinking I was saying one thing, and it came out differently. What I was trying to say was a lot of people… want to make Rush the scapegoat, the bogeyman, and he’s not.”

In the immortal words of Lil John… “WHAT?”  Those statements are not an interpretation, they are a cowardly retreat!  Rush and his supporters, “the real brain and energy of the GOP” gangstered your ass into your proper place… which is to carry their water! 

My message to Mr. Steele is this…  “Man if you’re going to carry the water, carry the damn water.  Stop trying to placate to the black community and act like you are down or something.  It’s bad enough you don’t know what a job is and most every time you get on TV you make a fool of yourself.  We don’t want you and are not impressed with your position.  All of this talk of inclusiveness and hip hop are Ludacris ludicrous!  You picked a side so just stay there.  And try having a candid conversation with J. C. Watts and he will tell you that to be a conservative is one thing… a perfectly acceptable brand of politics to hold to.  But the conservative views of your party are seeped in a muck of racism, classism, hatred, and a totally un-American un-inclusive set of ideologies.  Watts knows this first hand by how he was treated and that is why he no longer holds office.  Until you can man up and deal with that squarely, we have neither the time nor tolerance to consider you seriously. ”

By the way… Rush just called.  He needs a shine.  “So get your shine box!”

* It was great to hear about banker Leonard Abess Jr. giving a phat $60 million to his current AND former employees.  What style.  This man will always be blessed!

* Bobby Jindal is an idiot.  It’s clear that the GOP putting him out there as their spokesperson for their response is a reaction to the Obama effect.  It is consistent with Michael Steele being the first to head the GOP as well.  Back to Jindal, his speech was just hokey insincere and at times even insulting.  The republicans are still spinning from the election and still do not get it.  I wonder if they ever will.
